Weerawong C&P is representing AIGF Advisors Pte. Ltd. (Singapore) (AIGF) in the divestment of its KFC business in Thailand, whereby Bamboo (Thailand) Holding Pte. Ltd., a special-purpose vehicle majority-owned by AIGF, has successfully entered into a share purchase agreement with Devyani International DMCC (DID), a subsidiary of Devyani International Limited (DIL), for the latter to acquire a controlling stake in Restaurants Development Co. Ltd. (RD). RD, a franchisee of KFC Thailand, operates more than 270 KFC restaurants across the country and employs more than 4,500 staff in Thailand. The deal was signed on 18 December 2023 and is anticipated to be completed within 2024.
