Ms. Na Napat Bootphet is an associate in the China practice group at Weerawong C&P. She assists major clients and offers valuable business insights as a trusted advisor, particularly to Chinese businesses across various industries. Her work covers both investment and litigation matters. On the investment side, she provides legal support for BOI promotion, land acquisitions, and corporate transactions related to business operations in Thailand. In litigation, she assists clients in court proceedings and has supported cases involving injunction petitions and arbitration award enforcement, including cross-border disputes.

Foreign Direct Investment

Represented Changan Automobile as general counsel, providing extensive legal services including contract advice, preliminary forensic investigations and due diligence on counterparties for transactions and projects, including government procurement agreements. 

Represented Shanghai Edrive, a subsidiary of Broad-Ocean Motor, in the complete end-to-end process of setting up Thai entities. This included advising on investment strategies, available BOI incentives, crafting agreements to acquire factories, and assisting with labor and other post-promotion legal compliance issues. 

Represented various world-leading smart electronic appliance manufacturers from the PRC and the US in setting up Thai entities, including advising on shareholding structures, obtaining incentives (tax and non-tax), conducting due diligence on land and factories to be acquired, crafting JV agreements, and assisting with other legal compliance issues. 

 
Dispute Resolution

Represented a Thai subsidiary of a global investment service provider in arbitration proceedings with the Thai Arbitration Institute (TAI) related to a construction agreement for a luxurious real estate project in Phuket, with claims of over THB 1.93 billion.

Represented a South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer at the Central Intellectual Property & International Trade Court in strategizing defenses and guarding a civil lawsuit related to distribution and dealership agreements, valued at THB 150 million (approximately USD 5 million).

Represented a Chinese state-owned hydropower engineering and construction company in civil and bankruptcy lawsuits against a Thai public company, demanding construction fees, return of security, and damages totaling THB 350 million (approximately USD 10 million).
